Compliance Officer

Our client is seeking to appoint a Compliance Officer to its Trust business. This is a key person position with the successful candidate being approved by the JFSC as the key person to undertake the role of Registered Compliance Officer for the Jersey Trust Company and the associated entities. Further, they will provide a pro-active and innovative approach to risk management in an evolving regulatory environment and assist the CI Head of Compliance in the alignment and integration of policies, procedures for the business.

Requirements

10 years relevant compliance experience with an appropriate professional qualification e.g. ICA or equivalent
Experience in Private Banking/Wealth Management/Trust & Fiduciary Services
Team Spirit & Collaboration, Innovation with Focus
Knowledge of legal regulatory and industry requirements, knowledge of and use of regulators’ submission portals
Knowledge of business processes, standards and industry requirements
Communication – written and verbal to all levels of the organisation, including senior management and the board and to external third parties including regulators and law enforcement Influencing
Project Management – participate and where necessary lead/manage
Strategic & Commercial Awareness – develop and apply commercial awareness and business acumen
Analytical thinking, Change Management, Decision Making, Problem Solving
