The Senior Accounting Manager will be responsible for supporting the Client Accounting Manager in managing service delivery for a portfolio of complex alternative investment fund structures administered by the business and reviewing the teams output to ensure the highest level of accounting service is delivered to clients.
The successful candidate must:
Hold a professional accountancy qualification
10+ years professional accountancy experience (with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience) gained in a combination of either a fund accounting environment or audit firm
Minimum of 3 years' experience managing the production of NAVs/TBs and handling capital transactions (calls, distributions, etc.) in a fund accounting environment (preferably PERE but experience of other fund types is acceptable)
Extensive experience of financial statements production and management of the audit process for a portfolio of clients
Extensive experience in capacity planning, resource allocation and work scheduling in a complex environment
Detailed knowledge of the financial services industry particularly the structuring of investment vehicles and understanding the expectations of fund managers and investors Detailed knowledge of financial reporting standards and valuation methodologies
Knowledge of the Investran accounting system is an advantage
Experience of system migration and change management is an advantage
Staff management experience with proven ability to develop staff and create a positive working environment.
