Our client, an innovative investment business is seeking to appoint a Financial Reporting Accountant to join their finance team. The purpose of the position is to support the effectiveness of the accounting function of the multi-jurisdictional Group through the provision of accounting services. The Reporting Accountant's responsibilities include:
Maintenance of the general ledger for a number of group of companies, ensuring regular bank reconciliation, calculation and posting of intercompany expense recharges and reconciliation of group loans;
Maintenance of asset registers;
Preparation of the quarterly VAT return for review;
Preparation of the numbers for regulatory reporting on capital adequacy; Statutory accounts preparation under IFRS and UK GAAP;
Collating information and liaising with the auditors as part of the annual audits;
Assist with the payment process, organising a weekly schedule of payments for approval.
Set up payments within the online banking platform for review and release;
Review of expenses submissions and preparation of month reimbursement schedule;
To assist with other finance related projects and help to develop and improve processes within the Finance department;
Candidates ideally should be ACCA (or equivalent) qualified, but strong part qualified accountants will also be considered.
