Our client, a highly respected and growing provider of accounting, administration and fiducary services is looking to recruit a candidate with at least 2 years's experience in an accounting role in a similar high quality organisation. The candidate will either be a part qualified accountant or recently qualified. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, preferably educated to degree level and will have the drive, enthusiasm and motivation to produce work of the highest quality, which is compatible with the organisation as a whole.
Preparation of annual financial statements, under IFRS, UK GAAP or US GAAP, for the more complex and technically challenging Managed Entities for review by the Accounting Manager.
Identification of accounting issues which need to be brought to the attention of management. Preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reporting in accordance with client deadlines.
Preparation of information requested by auditors and liaising with the audit team in the course of their work.
For specific Managed Entities, particular those in the Real Estate Sector, control purchase ledger, prepare and submit VAT and CIS returns and liaise with HMRC as necessary.
Overview of bank account reconciliations ensuring that reconciling items are cleared and dealt with correctly in management and financial reporting.
Review/recording of movements in Managed Entities' investment portfolios and preparation of year end reconciliations to broker statements. Review of Managed Entities' accounting records and processing of appropriate year end journals.
Delegation of tasks to more junior members of the team as appropriate and coaching/ supervision of the less experienced team members.
