Tax Analyst

Our client is seeking a tax analyst to join their team.

You will be supporting the Tax Associate Director in managing our international tax risk and tax reporting.

Your primary role will be to work closely with the Associate Director on preparing annual AEOI reporting and supporting the wider business in maintaining tax records. In return, you will be involved in business development initiatives, sharing your ideas and thoughts around tax automation and business efficiencies. 

 This role is ideal for anyone who already had some exposure to FATCA/CRS compliance and international tax compliance but we do not expect you to have any specific tax qualifications. 

About the role

  • Support the Associate Director in preparing the annual FATCA/CRS reporting for the business 
  • Manage tax records, in particular for FATCA/CRS and Economic Substance
  • Deliver FATCA/CRS compliance support to various Financial Institutions
  • Support the Associate Director in international tax compliance for managed companies and partnerships  
  • Work together with the Client Administrators and Managers to identify any gaps in following internal tax risk compliance processes and application of policies and procedures 
  • Work on various tax projects and tax automation initiatives, including tax compliance automation and BEPS compliance

About you - essential requirements

  • Practical basic knowledge of corporate, fund and trust structures
  • Demonstrable basic practical knowledge of FATCA/CRS rules, as well as basic understanding of economic substance and general international tax compliance processes 
  • Appreciation for the importance of details and deadlines 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and has the confidence to deal with people at all levels
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
