Our client is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join their team.
Reporting to the Head of Projects, this is a key senior managerial role, liaising with the business on several projects across the Group. The Senior Project Manager will lead and deliver a portfolio of projects across the Group, driving strategic objectives and ensuring alignment with business goals.
Job accountabilities
To act as the Senior Project Manager on a range of projects, including supervision and oversight of junior team members
- End-to-end management of individual projects, ensuring alignment with the Group's transformation agenda.
- Utilise digital tools and platforms to develop and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, and dashboards, ensuring consistent delivery of objectives.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks, escalating critical issues to the Head of Projects or appropriate governance forums.
- Prepare reports and presentations on project progress for senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Build and sustain effective relationships with key stakeholders across departments to ensure project success.
- Act as a trusted advisor, providing clear communication, updates, and consultation on project matters.
- Supervise and support junior team members within project teams, developing capabilities across the organisation
Minimum education and experience
- Educated to ‘A’ Level standard, or equivalent
- A minimum of eight years’ relevant experience
- Attainment of a relevant professional qualification or strong experiential understanding of agile and hybrid methodologies.
- Experience of running and delivering successful projects, preferably in a multi-disciplinary environment.
Preferable but not essential
- Experience of running regulatory or compliance-driven projects.
- Advanced Project Management qualifications.
