Our client is seeking a Risk and Compliance Officer to join their team.
To be a dynamic member of the Risk and Compliance team which will involve undertaking and supporting the day-to-day tasks of the team to meet the needs of the Jersey Business lines.
With emphasis on ensuring that the business operates within all required legislation and regulation, with particular responsibility for upstream risk identification and analysis.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Monitoring new and impending legislation/regulation that may affect the business, liaising with colleagues responsible for business areas impacted, to ensure all relevant and necessary actions are taken in a timely manner
- Undertake relevant searches of databases upon receipt of Liaison Notices by the Jersey Financial Crime Unit or updates to Sanctions Lists provided by Group/HMRC and record action taken on relevant registers
- Undertake daily reviews of the Jersey Financial Services Commission, and other necessary websites to ensure all public notices/press releases/latest news and publications are circulated to the appropriate recipients
- Maintain the various registers and attendant processes. Particular focus upon the processes surrounding Operational Risk Incidents
- Undertake daily reviews of the Group screening reports, analyse output, and ensure that appropriate action is taken in respect of positive hits on Trust client entities and Fund client entities and investors, and any relevant associated parties
