Precedent Manager

Our client are seeking a Precedent Manager to for a newly created role.

As a Precedent Manager, you will be reporting into the Director within Operations and working closely with the Knowledge Management (KM) team.

This role is responsible for the comprehensive oversight and strategic management of the precedent document process across all the jurisdictions the client operates.

Taking ownership of the day-to-day administration of the precedent management framework the role holder will support the wider Management and administration teams with all operational aspects including coordinating the review, maintenance and creation of precedents by the key stakeholders, helping to drive improved process efficiencies and mitigating risks in line with legal and regulatory requirements. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Further develop and refine the procedures, policies, and framework for managing the global precedent documents in collaboration with relevant departments and external partners for all jurisdictions
  • Prepare and maintain detailed pipelines of the global precedents
  • Coordinate with multi jurisdiction stakeholders
  • Implement a risk-based review program in consultation with the global jurisdiction stakeholders and Operations to ensure that current precedent documents remain compliant with evolving regulatory and legal requirements
  • Establish robust mechanisms to ensure that precedent documents are maintained across various client administration platforms 
  • Monitor and analyse the usage of precedents to identify trends, drive efficiency, and guide strategic decision-making regarding training and resource allocation

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the trust and company fiduciary industry
  • A self-driven and confident approach, be resilient under pressure and have a commitment to excellence, with a structured methodology to planning and workload management, ensuring effective prioritisation and control. 
  • Technical proficiency is preferred, with a keen aptitude for utilising systems to their fullest potential.
  • Specific knowledge of Viewpoint and SharePoint functionality is highly advantageous. and exceptional written and verbal communication skills are a must.
