Our Client is seeking a manager to lead their Corporate Actions team
In this role, you will provide effective leadership, motivation, strategic direction, and coaching to the corporate actions team. You will also use your in-depth knowledge of corporate actions to continually enhance and create methods for preventing loss situations and optimise efficiency opportunities.
Responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the day-to-day corporate action functions that relate to CI and London regions
- Responsibility for the effective, compliant, and viable administration and recording of assets resulting from operational events, maintaining strict adherence to departmental risk management controls and market practice.
- Driving compliance with FCA, GFSC, and JFSC regulations relating to custody business.
- Understanding the corporate action practices across all relevant markets with a detailed knowledge of all event types, market trends/ harmonisation, omnibus, and foreign Institutional Investor Markets.
Requirements:
- Must possess significant corporate actions experience.
- Must possess technical knowledge of market practices in a number of regions to provide explanation and on-going training of procedures and market practices worldwide to less experienced staff in the Team.
- Relevant qualifications to Investments Operations administration (e.g. Investment Operations Certificate (CISI) would be desirable.
- Experience of management duties including, but not limited to, ongoing performance management and process/procedure ownership and development would be helpful.
