Governance Systems Trainer

Our client is seeking an experienced Training professional to join their team.

The primary focus will be to support the Governance Services team by providing up-to-date training on operational change, process improvements and IT initiatives, ensuring teams have the technical knowledge and training for them to leverage our systems as part of delivering services to our clients.

About the role

Primarily, you will be tasked with developing and delivering systems training initiatives for Governance Services, to ensure that teams have the technical knowledge and training for them to leverage our systems as part of delivering services to our clients. You will play a key part in enhancing the competencies of our employees.

  • Take responsibility for the management of systems training, dovetailing this with the Policies and Procedures, where required
  • Design and create, in collaboration with the technical and business teams, all relevant training materials and course programmes necessary to deliver system learning effectively to our users.
  • Design and create system-guidance notes to be used alongside and complementary to the training materials
  • Plan, organise and deliver training to parties externally as may be appropriate from time to time (eg, consultants)
  • Manage the internal libraries training materials and system-guidance documentation, keeping these resources current at all times, and communicating changes to those libraries practically and effectively throughout the business
  • Engage with the employees and with the business leaders in order to identify training needs and to plan suitable means of addressing these needs
  • Assess the effectiveness of training programmes and training delivery. Support system upgrades and related testing

About you

  • Ability to work under own initiative to manage and deliver training programmes to a high standard, drawing on a sound knowledge of the global trust and corporate services industry.
  • It is essential for the role holder to be able to demonstrate a good understanding of technology related solutions.  Knowledge of specialist industry software, especially Viewpoint, is preferred as this will form the basis of much of the system training requirements.
  • Good people skills are required, to be able to manage the varying levels of expertise and learning styles.
  • Demonstrate a flexible and pro-active approach to problem solving both in an individual capacity and as part of a team.  
  • Must be able to demonstrate initiative, be proactive, have a positive outlook and well-organised with good personal management skills and with a proven record of taking ownership of tasks and responsibility for ensuring completion. 
  • Good verbal and written communication skills are essential, together with the ability to build relationships, working as part of a global team to achieve a common goal.  
  • Proven ability to manage and deliver training
  • 5+ years experience within the trust and corporate services industry
  • Demonstrable IT experience with industry applications and development 
  • Educated to degree level and/or a relevant professional qualification
